Keeping our streets safe and stress-free takes a shared effort. As we head into another busy school season, we kindly ask all drivers to familiarize yourself with road signage and practice safe, considerate driving around the school. Together, we can create a safer and more efficient environment for our students, families, and neighbours.
If you’d like to volunteer during future Traffic Safety Campaigns, please visit our Volunteer page to sign up. We’d love your help!

Drop-Off Procedure (see map above)
- Use the two designated zones only. Aim to complete drop-off in under 60 seconds so traffic keeps moving.
- While in these areas, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR to walk your child to school. No exceptions, regardless of grade!
- Briefly exiting the car for goodbyes is fine, but please re-enter your vehicle promptly, signal, and move on.
- If possible, pull forward to the front of the queue to make space for others to join behind you.
- No illegal U-turns allowed. They create dangerous situations for pedestrians and drivers alike.
- Encourage your child to head directly to the playground after exiting the car.
- Avoid using your phone or lingering in the drop-off area.
- Consider leaving 5–10 minutes earlier to avoid rushing and taking unnecessary risks.
TIP: Skip the congestion altogether and park a couple blocks away from school and enjoy a short walk with your child. Zero congestion, zero stress!
Pedestrian Safety Guidelines
- Always use designated crosswalks.
- Cross in groups when possible for better visibility.
- Young children should hold hands with an adult while crossing.
- Cross quickly and safely to keep traffic moving.
- Help traffic flow for drivers by waiting until intersections are clear before crossing.
- Stay alert! Avoid using phones while crossing streets.
Being Considerate Neighbours
- Remember that school traffic affects nearby residents too.
- Never block driveways, even partially.
- Respect our neighbours’ time and space. They have busy schedules just like we do, let’s respect them.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support!
