Support our Fundraiser with Purdys Chocolates

It’s officially the holiday season, which means our annual Purdys Fundraiser is back. For every item purchased through PJ’s Purdys fundraising campaign PAC will receive a portion back in fundraising profit to help support the Grade 7 Graduation. Please support this holiday tradition by purchasing stocking stuffers and gifts for everyone from teachers and coaches, to colleagues and family… and don’t forget to treat yourself!

Fundraiser closes November 25. Orders will be available to pick up on December 12 from 8:30 to 9:30 and 2:30 to 3:30 in the gym.
For more details visit our Purdys Fundraiser page.

Join us at November’s PAC Meeting

If you’re a parent of a PJ student you are a member of PAC, so we’d love for you to attend our regular PAC meetings. Our next meeting is on Thursday, November 9 at 6:30pm in the PJ library. We’ll be discussing upcoming events and how you can get involved. We’ll also talk about the Fun Lunch program – we want to hear what you enjoy about Fun Lunch, and what you would like to see going forward. Additionally guest speaker, Michelle LaBounty, District Principal of Teaching and Learning in West Vancouver Schools, will be providing an overview of the new BC Ministry K-12 Reporting Policy. She will discuss what has changed, why the changes, what is the Proficiency Scales and Assessment, and what this means for how your child’s Communicating Student Learning (CSL) document (Report Card) will be shared with you. We invite you to do some reading in advance and bring any questions you many have.  Please access an overview here: https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/reporting/resources-for-parents-and-caregivers

If you are not able to attend in person you may join by Zoom.

PAC Meeting on October 10th

A Special Invitation from your Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Executive

Join us for our first PJ parent meeting of the school year, on October 10, from 6:30-8:30pm at PJ. We will be kicking things off with a year-in-review so that you can find out more about what is coming up and how you can get involved, and then we’ll move right into a fascinating (and short) financial update. Mme. Zielinski will then take the mic to give her principal’s update, and then we will welcome our special guest of the night, Mme. Stevenson, who will be speaking about how to support French learning from home. The night would not be complete without a wine and cheese mingler!

Note: No children are allowed in the building due to liquor license requirements. We will be offering a zoom link for those who choose to join us from home.
